Event Creation

With ClubHosting, it’s easier than ever to create events for your website members and visitors to see. Whether it’s for a planned trip, fundraiser, reoccurring monthly meetings, etc., event creation is a sure-fire way to ‘save the date’ and give event details right onto your website! So let’s get started!

Events are much like posts, although instead of simply posting an update on something, or simply posting content, an event is a date-specific post essentially. As with posts, events must also have categories. Event categories act the same as post categories, in that they help keep events organized and easier to manage.

So first start by creating an event category, similarly as you would with a post category.

To add events to your club event calendar there are two options:

• You can either go into your dashboard, select events, and select add new.
• Or, if you're logged into your site, you can also use the admin toolbar at the top of the page; hover over new, and select event.

If it's something that your club always does weekly, I suggest making a recurring event. You may also hide the event from the upcoming events list, by checking the option on the right of the page.

For frequent visits to a specific place such as a clubhouse, we suggest adding a venue. This way you can add the address one time, then the next time you need to create an event at that same venue, you simply selected from the drop down.
