Post Creation
FeaturedUpdating you club’s website is extremely easy with ClubHosting. To add news items such as updates on how an event went; meeting minutes; or other useful information - all you have to do is add a new post! So let’s get started!
First things first, you’ll want to set up what is known as Post Categories. Post Categories help keep posts organized and easier to manage. For example, a post category titled ‘Newsletters’ is a great way to keep all of your newsletter posts together; or a category titled ‘Club News’ to keep club news related posts together; etc.
Once you have created a post category, it is now time to start creating posts!
Basics of a POST,
- Use a Short Title – Titles are used for widgets on home pages, etc.
- Don’t put dates in (unless it’s for an UPCOMING EVENT) – these are added automatically
- ALWAYS ASSIGN A CATEGORY
Categories, as previously explained, are used to make sure the post gets grouped together. If you are using a categories widget to display Events, Trail Conditions, etc., you will need to make sure the post is assigned a category so it shows up in all the right places. If you forget, don't fret. You can always edit this later.

To add posts to your club event calendar there are two options:
- You can either go into your dashboard, select posts, and select add new.
- Or, if you're logged into your site, you can also use the admin toolbar at the top of the page; hover over new, and select post.

Now that the two essential tools to create seamless and easy posts have been covered, go out and create some test posts yourself to see how truly easy they are to use!
