Getting a Security Warning / Alert about certificate being invalid
Are you Getting a Security Warning / Alert about certificate being invalid?
That means you are attempting to access the site via HTTPS://
That is not advised / supported / needed. If you have a login link dropping you to HTTPS, update it. But drop the S; and login and you will not have a problem.
But isn't being secure better?
Not for this type of website work. If you were actually receiving card info, then absolutely, but as payments get routed to paypal, etc, it is not needed. It actually slows down your site.
But why not just do it anyway? I like being secure
SSL certificates costs appx $80-300 a year. And may require you to upgrade your package to one that supports SSL. It is not recommended / required.
Your data is still secure without running over a secured socket layer.
